Paying It Forward

My daughter took her three children to Wal-Mart a few years ago with an idea about how to teach them Christian charity. She handed five dollars to the cashier and told her to give it to the person behind her after they left. And then they went around the corner and watched to see what happened. The next customer was so pleased to receive the unexpected gift that they said the same thing to the cashier and passed on their blessing to the next customer, and the next, and the next … Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 that even a cup of cold water given in Jesus’ name would not go unrewarded. So, pass on some kindness today. Not so that you will get thanked, but so that God will get the glory.
