It has been a rough few days. I came down with flu-like symptoms Tuesday afternoon. A visit to our family doctor confirmed flu type A, whatever that is. At least it wasn’t covid. But this has been as bad as covid, and I have had both viruses to compare to. The folk at church offered to help, but I wanted them to stay away from our flu bug. But our daughter insisted on bringing by a casserole Sunday afternoon. She left her son, my grandson, to shovel snow while she went Ace hardware to buy snowmelt. They were a blessing! I had shoveled off the back deck, but Bennett redid my job to his own liking. A perfectionist, like his granddaddy usually is, when healthy. Psalm 127:3, “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD …” And I could add “grandchildren” without doing damage to the Scriptures. Thank you, Beth Ann, and thank you, Bennett. You were a blessing.
