Two weeks ago, I was coming home from picking up a prescription for my wife. I descended the on-ramp to the interstate and began to merge. Traffic was heavy as usual, so I looked from the car merging ahead of me, to the traffic beside me, to cars in my rear-view mirror. Suddenly, I ran over an unseen object. Some piece of metal hit my front bumper, banged under my car, and clattered out the passenger. I instantly recalled the story of a family in Wisconsin whose gas tank was ruptured when they drove over some debris on the highway. But I survived. My little car survived too, but had damage in two places. I was reminded that I am in the dear Lord’s care every day. Some days I just realize it more than others. David realized the Lord’s care. Psalm 139:1-3, “O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.” Thank you, Lord, for watching over me each day. Hey, are you grateful for the Lord’s watchcare? Then take a moment to thank Him.
