Connected

Well, it’s my own fault.  My phone went dead today.  I usually plug in my cell phone every second or third night.  I don’t use it that much and it usually takes about 15% battery usage each day.  So, Monday night, I plugged in my phone and went to bed.  But as you can see from my picture, the cords are a rat’s nest of congestion.  And although I plugged the cord into my phone, the other end of the cell phone cord was not plugged into the extension cord.  The extension cord was plugged into the wall, but that wasn’t sufficient.  A great life lesson: you must be connected to the power source.  Jesus said it best in John 15:4&5, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”  Hey, without Jesus Christ, we aren’t just hampered, we are stopped!  It isn’t that we can’t do as much on our own, we can’t do anything without Jesus!  Just like a branch is useless without the vine (or a cellphone without being plugged into the wall) we are useless without Jesus.  Remember that.  Jesus doesn’t just help us; Jesus is everything!  And without Jesus, we are nothing!
