Fifth Row Pew at Church

We are creatures of habit.  At church, my wife and I sit in the fifth row on the left – all the time.  And as you can see from the picture, my wife’s wheelchair scratches the end of the pew.  I try to be careful, but I must get her close enough so that she can grab onto the pew to steady herself as she transfers from the wheelchair to the pew.  But no one at church complains about the scratches.  And for that, I am grateful.  Everyone is glad to see my wife at church.  Solomon said in Proverbs 14:4, “Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.”  Everyone at Calvary would rather have my wife at church than to have a like-new-fifth-row-pew.
