Cold Floor

My LVP flooring has helped keep me healthy.  Let me explain: My luxury vinyl plank flooring is so much like that old cold vinyl flooring that we had when I was a kid.  And when I get up in the morning, I hate, hate, hate to put my bare feet on that cold, cold, cold floor.  So, when I take off my warm flannel pajama pants, I am VERY careful to maintain my balance standing in one slipper while sliding one pajama leg out then simultaneously putting the same leg into my underwear and then sliding the same foot back into the slipper.  A great test of balance (which is critical for an old man).  Then I pull the other warm foot out of the other warm slipper and the other pant-leg of the warm flannel pajamas (letting the pajamas fall to the floor) and slip the formerly warm leg into the underwear and back into the slipper.  And if my balance has been calculatingly careful, my pajamas are off and my shorts are on and my feet are still in those warm slippers.  Sorry for that mental picture of me in my underwear.  ;<(  I use the same balancing act for my pants.  And then I sit down in my straight-backed chair and put on my socks and shoes with the same care.  I hold my foot up while putting on my sock, then my shoe over the sock, all the while not letting my foot touch the cold vinyl floor: a great exercise for my quads.  Hey, if I would use the same care in avoiding the cold floors, I could avoid petty sins in my life.  I would be much closer to the Lord.  A word of advice: avoid relationship-damaging sin like I avoid cold floors, and you will do well.  Proverbs 3:7, “Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
