Regifted

I got some candy this Christmas that was obviously regifted.  The gift bag was a bit worn and the tissue paper had obviously been in and out several times.  But both boxes of candy in the gift bag were two of my favorite chocolates, so I didn’t mind.  I gave my men quirky gifts this year and told them right up front that they could regift them to someone whom they thought might like them.  They were spent 45 cartridges with valve caps glued in the end of them.  I thought that they were clever, but not for a fancy car.  Perfect for a pickup truck.  Hey, the dear Lord has given me some gifts that I would rather regift.  How about pain?  The good Lord gives us pain right along with joy; but I would rather regift you the pain and me take the joy.  I would like to give my tribulation to someone else also.  Anyone want an extra dose of trouble?  How about testing and trials?  I sure would be glad to pass those on to someone else!  Paul said in Romans 5:3-5, “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”  Hey, don’t regift anything that comes from the good Lord because really, it is the perfect gift for you.  Even if you don’t think so.  It comes from your heavenly Father Who knows exactly what you need.
