Oil Spot Reminder

Last week, a dear marine friend came into town for the weekend.  He hitched a ride with a friend from Pensacola Naval Air Station and came to Chattanooga to pick up his car to take back to FL.  Luke said his oil was a little dark, so I helped him change his oil (for the first time) in my driveway.  His Chevy Tracker is a small vehicle and had some tight squeezes, but we got the oil and filter changed.  I stayed out of the way as best I could and gave advice only when needed.  Unfortunately, I came away with an oil dribble on my suede work shoes.  But when I saw the spot the next day, the Holy Spirit reminded me to pray for Luke as he serves in the marine corps.  Hey, use Godly triggers to jog your memory to remember to pray for folk.  As Samuel said in I Samuel 12:23, “Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way.”
