Try It

 

I have a toaster that has puzzled me for a year.  Instead of words reading “darker” or “lighter’ it has 2 pictures.  But the pictures are confusing.  One has a silhouette of a piece of toast (with the red color of the toaster showing through) and the other is a picture of a white piece of toast (because the letters are printed white).  So, will my toast come out red or white?!  I have never understood which was lighter or darker, so a friend said, “Just put the control knob all the way on one side, and then you’ll know.”  So I did.  And it was burnt!  But now I know and I used my trusty squirrel-skinnin’ pocketknife point to scratch “D” on that side and “L” on the other side.  And like my toaster experiment, if you haven’t tried Jesus you’ll never know.  Why not just give Him a try?!  You’ll never know if God’s grace is real until you’ve tried it.  Psalm 34:8, “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
