Rescued

Saturday, I heard the true story of a Down’s Syndrome boy from Central America who was adopted by an American couple.  It seems that the little boy was born with obvious deformities and was taken to the town dump and left to die.  A carpenter who was working nearby heard the little boy’s cries and investigated.  He rescued the baby from the dump and took him to an orphanage.  The baby’s story was heard by an American couple who immediately went about to adopt the little guy.  The American father said, “Our stories are identical.  I too was rescued from a trash heap by a Carpenter!”  Psalm 40:1-3, “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.”
