Proverbs 30:11-14

Proverbs 30:11-14 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. We have four verses for today because they are all related. They are all about a wicked generation. People today are becoming more and more wicked. Solomon was warning his son to be careful and to watch out for the younger kids who were growing up. They were not respectful to their parents, but they thought that they were okay. They had a proud look, yet were as wicked as they could be! They took advantage of poor people so much that it was as if they were eating them alive! Kids are beginning to have smart mouths and care nothing about teachers, preachers, coaches, or policemen. They just don't care. God is warning us to be aware and not to become as they are. Be obedient. Be respectful. Be thankful. God will bless you, and others will notice and speak well of you. God's ways are the best for us. Don't be a smart mouth. be obedient.
