Romans 8:15,16 For
ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received
the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth
witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: God is not a mean
God just waiting to punish us. He is a loving heavenly Father ready to forgive
us. The term Abba Father is the
Hebrew equivalent of Daddy. God is
not a stern Father to fear, but He is a loving Father that we can call Daddy! And when we are saved, we are
given the Blessed Holy Spirit to indwell us and to remind us of what we should
do and how we should act. When the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts, our spirit
within us just knows that what God’s Spirit is saying is right. we just know.
What a comfort to know that we are the children of God.
