Romans 8:17

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. What is an heir? An heir is someone who will inherit or receive all of the possessions of their father when he passes away. Of course, God our Father is not going to pass away. But we are entitled to all that God has because we are His children. And we are the children of God just like Jesus is the Son of God. The Father has given to us everything that He has given to His dear Son! Do you remember what baptism is a picture of? When we are baptized, we are identified with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our verse reminds us that since we suffer with Christ, we will be resurrected someday with Christ! What a wonderful privilege and promise!
