Romans 8:18

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. In our verse we have that word reckon once again. Do you remember what reckon was? It was an accounting term. In our minds, let’s make two columns. We will label the first the sufferings of this world and the second the glories of heaven. But of course, there is no comparison! We might suffer for 70 or 80 years here on earth, but how long will we enjoy heaven? Forever! We may not have much here on earth, but how much will we have in heaven? All the riches of God! If we were to look at these two imaginary accounting columns, the bad of this world would not come close to comparing with the good of the world to come in heaven. Absolutely no comparison!
