Romans 8:26

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Do you think that God knows what He is doing in the world? Of course He does! When someone gets sick, do you think God has a reason for that too? Of course He does! So when we pray for that person to get better, could that be praying against what God is doing in that person’s life? Just like our verse says, we may not know how to pray as we ought to pray. But we can go ahead and ask God to heal that person. But at the same time, we need to say that whatever God is wanting to do, He is free to do it. Whatever God does, that is OK with us. We pray with as much information as we know, but we may not actually know how to pray. So we must trust the Holy Spirit to deliver our prayers to God and turn them around into the way that God wants them to be answered.
