Philippians 1:21

Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. The Apostle Paul was focused. Paul, as they say, “kept his eye on the ball”. When a batter is up at the plate, does he look all around to see who is looking at him? Does he look at the people sitting on the bleachers? Does he look at a bird in the tree out past the outfield fence? Absolutely not! He is focused! He stares at the pitcher and concentrates on the ball that is thrown to him. He keeps his eye on that ball all the way in to the plate. He looks for a good pitch to smack to the outfield for a hit or maybe even a home run. And that was the way Paul was. He was focused. But Paul wasn’t focused on a baseball. What was Paul focused on? He was focused upon Jesus Christ. Jesus was everything to him. Jesus was Paul’s whole life! Can we say that? Are we focused on Jesus? I hope we are!
