Romans 16:10-14

Romans 16:10-14  Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' household. Salute Herodion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord. Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord. Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them. Paul lists many other Christians who were dear to his memory. Some of them like Herodian, were Jews as Paul was. Jewish Christians suffered twice as much. The Romans hated the Jews, and the Romans and Jews hated the Christians. Paul was grateful to Tryphena and Tryphosa because they worked tirelessly for Jesus Christ. But Persis even worked harder. He went the extra mile. And all three were a blessing to Paul for their tireless work. Rufus was a good Christian brother and his mother had been especially good to Paul. Paul finally lists several men who such a blessing to him that they were like his brothers. What a wonderful way to address a fellow Christian: as a brother or sister in Christ!
