Philippians 2:5-7

Philippians 2:5-7 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: The Bible clearly says that Jesus Christ made everything right in the beginning. But how could Jesus be born as a baby in Bethlehem and still be in the beginning making everything? That is called the incarnation. Incarnation means when Jesus, while He was in heaven, laid aside His Godness, and came down to earth to be born in Bethlehem. It was like Jesus took off his coat of Godness and laid it down on His throne in heaven, and came down and wrapped Himself in the body of a little baby and was born in Bethlehem. And as a baby, then a child, then a teenager, then a young man, Jesus grew and grew – as a man. He was God, but He was also a man. Like our verses say, Jesus took upon Himself the form of a man. It was like Jesus putting off the coat of His Godness and putting on the coat of His humanness. Jesus was equal with God, the Father, but for our sakes, Jesus became the form of a man. Our verse even says that He became the form of a servant. Jesus loved us so much that He became one of us! What wonderful love! We will find out even more of His love tomorrow!
