Exodus 8:16,24

Exodus 8:16,24 And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt. And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies. The next two plagues were lice and then flies. I hate bugs! Mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, fleas – they are all nasty! I can’t imagine all of the dust of Egypt turning into lice! It must have been horrible! Lice get into every fold of your skin and all in your hair – I’m itching just thinking about it! God was trying to teach Pharaoh a lesson, but he just wasn’t getting it. Some people just like to have things their own way. They are stubborn. But Pharaoh was the worst of the worse. He had servants to clean up the lice and flies for him. But the rest of his country was not so lucky. They were overrun with the tiny pests. And God had six more plagues to bring onto Egypt!
