Exodus 9:3,4,8,9

Exodus 9:3,4,8,9 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain. And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel. And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh. And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt. The fifth plague affected the livestock of Egypt. All of the cattle and sheep and camels of Egypt came down with a deadly disease. But, interestingly enough, the animals in the land of Goshen, where the Israelites lived, did not have the disease. This shows the miraculous hand of Almighty God in the plagues. Then the sixth plague was upon the animals and the people of Egypt. A boil is a severe infection of the skin. I have had a boil and it is painful. I can’t imagine boils all over my body! Pharaoh couldn’t stand because he had boils on his feet. He couldn’t sit because he had boils on his bottom. he couldn’t lay down because he had boils on his back. Pharaoh was miserable. God was teaching him a lesson, but was he learning, No. His heart just got harder and harder. When God speaks, we should listen. Pharaoh should have listened to God.
