Hosea 6:1,6

Hosea 6:1,6 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Even though God sent judgement upon Israel, He still wanted to bring them back in repentance. And even though we are sinners, God wants to bring us back to Him in full fellowship. But God doesn’t want us to have to ask for repentance, He wants us to obey Him the first time. Let me ask you a question: is it better to rebel and to ask for forgiveness, or is it better not to rebel in the first place? That’s right. Oh, it is good to have God’s forgiveness, but it is much better to have God’s sweet fellowship and never leave Him.
