Causing Confusion

Monday, I stopped at the stop sign leaving Cardiac rehab and remembered that I needed to text my son. It was early in the morning and no one was leaving the parking lot, so I put the car into park, looked in my rear-view mirror (no one behind me), and began a short text. After a couple of words, I checked my mirror, and I was still OK. I texted a few more words and saw an exiting car pullup beside me to go around me. He had escaped my eye. Oops. But now a car in the street stopped because he was blocked from coming into the parking lot by the guy trying to go around me who had blocked the entrance because I was blocking his exit. And now a nurse coming to work walked in front of the three of our vehicles, and she had the right-of-way. And all of this confusion because of me texting! Hey, often in life our mistakes (sins) affect others. Our sins affect our children, grandchildren, and even further generations. The Lord warned about idols in Exodus 20:5, “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” If we sin, it will affect our children and grandchildren. Hey, live a clean life before God, teach your children to do the same, and you will be a blessing to generations to come.
