John 1:11&12

John 1:11 & 12 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: When Jesus Christ came into the world, He was born into a Jewish family in the Jewish nation. The Jews knew the God of the Old Testament, but when Jesus came into the Jewish world, they did not receive Him. They rejected Him as their Messiah. But then Jesus died on the cross for all of us, not just the Jews. So now if we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we can be born into His forever family. We can become a son or daughter of God. What the Jews lost by rejecting Jesus, we gained by receiving Jesus. Good for us!
