John 2:18-22

John 2:18-22 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. Yesterday Jesus drove the wicked moneychangers and sacrifice sellers from the Temple. The Jews asked Him to show them a sign that He had the authority to do those things. He gave them a prophecy about His death, burial, and resurrection. But they didn't understand it. People who do not understand spiritual things are often confused by them. Actually, they usually do not want to understand them. The disciples understood them, but only after Easter Sunday morning. After Jesus' resurrection, they remembered His words and only then did they understood. Today we can look back to Jesus' resurrection and easily understand His words. But from we are, it is easy to look back and see it all!
