Acts 14:25-28

Acts 14:25-28  And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia: And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled. And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles. And there they abode long time with the disciples. Paul and Barnabas finished their first missionary round-trip and celebrated at their sending church, the church in Antioch in Syria. God had done wonderful things as many people became believers and new churches were started. But Paul didn’t have a cellphone to talk to his praying friends in Antioch. He didn’t have e-mail to keep his home church informed. He didn’t have a camera on his phone to send pictures back to let people know what was going on. Even when Paul and Barnabas came back, Paul couldn’t show any pictures of video of the new converts and new churches. He had to tell the stories himself to the church members in Antioch and bring some of the converts with him, who told their stories themselves. My how things have improved! We have so much more technology to use to spread the gospel. But do we use it? We can. I have friends in Mexico and Venezuela and Cameroon and Haiti and Romania on Facebook whom I chat with about the Lord. We should use our computers, tablets, cellphones and cameras for God’s glory!
