I Peter 1:23

I Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. When a farmer plants his fields, he uses good seed. He either saves the best seed from the previous year or buys good seed from the farm store. If the farmer plants cheap seed, there may be some weed seed left in it that has not been cleaned out. The bag of seed may be cheaper because it is not pure. Whoever is selling it has not taken the time to go through the seed and to make sure it was only good seed. That is why God’s Word, the Bible is called pure. It is only good information – good seed. Peter says that God’s Word will last forever. Corruptible means that it will rot. It is bad seed. But Peter says that God’s Word is incorruptible – it will last forever! We can depend upon God’s Word – it is good seed! It will last forever!
