II John 1:7,10,11

II John 1:7,10,11 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:  For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. The book of II John is very short. It only has one chapter. The old apostle John is writing to a special lady in the church. She must have been old and had many younger people who were looking up to her. And John wants to pass on a warning to her: watch out for false teachers, who are deceivers. But how do we identify a false teacher? Well John makes it very clear. If a preacher or teacher doesn’t admit that Jesus Christ is God born into a human body, this teacher is anti-Christ and is a false teacher. Do not listen to them; do not invite them into your house; do not invite them into your church; do not give them a blessing of any kind. You shouldn’t be mean to them, but neither should you give them any kind of encouragement. They are a false teacher and are doing serious damage to God’s kingdom and God’s people. And they are evil. Always remember: Jesus Christ is absolutely important. He should be first in our hearts and our lives.
