I Peter 1:24,25

I Peter 1:24,25 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Peter is using another farming picture here in our verses for today. If your mother plants a tree in the back yard, it is expected to last for a long time. But the grass in the yard is different. The grass gets cut each week. The blade of grass lasts only for a week. Peter says that God’s Word is not lake grass that lasts for only a brief time. God’s Word is forever! And forever is a long time!
