Matthew 26:42

Matthew 26:42 He (Jesus) went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. Jesus was willing to die for the sins of the whole world. But He was reluctant to bear those sins in His body. That was because He had never, ever done anything wrong. Jesus had never sinned. And if there was any other way to pay for our sins, Jesus would do it. But there wasn’t any other way. He had to take our sins upon Himself in order to pay for them. Jesus hated sin, but Jesus loved us. And He died for us on that cross on Calvary’s hill so that we might be set free from our sins! Jesus didn’t like those sins, but Jesus loved us! He did it all for you and for me!
