Haggai 1:6,7

Haggai 1:6,7 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. God was speaking to Israel through the prophet Haggai. And God is speaking to us through the prophet Haggai too. God will not bless us if we leave Him out. If we neglect God, He will give us difficult times. Haggai said that they had food, but were never full. They had drink, but they remained thirsty. Israel had clothes, but they were always cold. They earned money, but the money seemed to run out. And so it is with us. If we neglect God, He will not bless us. He will let our car break down and He will let our heather break. Our roof will leak and our stove will go bad. Oh, bad things happen to good people, but God will not bless us if we leave Him out. It is as if we put our money into a bag with a hole in it! We work and have nothing. We need God! And we should remember our Lord. Don’t leave Him out!
