I Thessalonians 2:13

I Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. Paul bragged on the church in Thessalonica. He said that when they heard him speak, they reacted as if it were the Holy Spirit speaking. And actually, the Holy Spirit was speaking – through Paul. When a spirit-filled teacher or preacher speaks, we should receive it as if God Himself were speaking to us. Oh to be sure, they are only a human speaker, but they are really speaking for God. And we would do well to receive the words as if they were from God. Listen to them and consider. God may be speaking to you … through them!
