John 15:16

John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Our salvation is from God and by God. God sent Jesus to do the work of salvation. Jesus died to take away our sins. Then He sent the Blessed Holy Spirit into the world to remind us that we are sinners and need to be saved. The Heavenly Father draws us to Himself showing us that we need to be saved. The only thing that we do is to accept what God has done, and we are saved. We don’t search for God, He seeks us! We don’t do anything, God has done it all! If we abide in God, he will make us into a good Christian. The Christian life is not becoming better and better and working at being good. The Christian life is surrendering to God and letting Him have more and more of us. We do not work to be saved, and we do not work to become a better Christian. Do you remember the old invitation song, Have Thine own way, Lord; Have Thine own way; Thou art the Potter, I am the clay? We must let God use us just like the clay lets the potter mold it into what the potter wants. The clay does nothing. The clay just lets the Potter work. God wants to work in our life. Our job is to let Him.
