John 15:5

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. We like to think that we are in charge of ourselves. When we get up in the morning, we decide what we are going to wear and what we are going to do. But we depend upon our parents for so much that we don’t really realize. Who pays the electric bill so that you have warm warer for a bath? Who buys the groceries and cooks your meals? Who pays the water bill so that you can flush the toilet? Who pays the house taxes and the car license plates and the car insurance and... well, you get the picture. But even parents must depend upon God to take care of them. The branches in our verses depend upon the vine to give them the nourishment that they need in order to grow and live. If you cut off a branch what happens to it? It dies and dries up. Just like a disconnected branch, we will dry up and die if we are not connected to God. We need Him to live. Trust in God and He will never let you down! He will take care of you!
