John 20:18-20

John 20:18-20 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her. Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Mary was the first to see the risen Lord. She ran and told the disciples, but they just couldn’t believe her. But then that Easter Sunday evening, Jesus came and showed Himself the gathered disciples. They were probably still in that room where the last supper took place. Jesus just didn’t come through the door; He came through the door with it shut! He had His glorified body – the same kind of body that we will have someday. The disciples could touch Him, but somehow His body passed through the door. He was able to eat a piece of honeycomb, but yet He could appear and disappear like a spirit. What a wonderful state! If we are born again, we will be just like Jesus someday! We will have a perfect body and a perfect soul. We will never die, or sin, or get sick, or be mean or anything. We will be with Jesus and we will be like Jesus! What a day that will be!
