Genesis 4:3-7

Genesis 4:3-7 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. Eve was so excited to have a baby boy. She named him Cain. And soon his little brother, Abel was born. They grew up and learned from their mother and father all about God. I am sure that their father told them how that God had to kill an innocent animal to provide the skins for their clothing to cover their shame. I am sure that father Adam also told them that God required a blood sacrifice. But Cain ignored his father and the commands of Almighty God. He had worked hard to raise his vegetable crops and he thought that the food that he had raised himself should be good enough for a sacrifice. “Why did he need to bring a blood sacrifice, anyway,” he thought. But when God reprimanded him, he got mad. But he couldn’t take out his anger against God, so he took out his anger on his innocent brother, Abel. When they were out in the field alone, Cain rose up and slew his brother. No one was around. No one saw him do the evil act. Or was Cain really alone? He didn’t think. He forgot that God saw everything. he tried to lie to God, but God had seen everything. God saw what Cain had done, and God sees what we do too. Be not deceived, God sees everything. When we sin, we might as well confess it right away because God saw it anyhow. God sees and God knows, but God also forgives. God loves us and will forgive us if we but ask.
