Genesis 8:20-22

Genesis 8:20-22 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. The first thing that Noah did when he came off of the ark was to build an altar to God and offer sacrifices to the Lord for His wonderful care! God made a promise to Noah that He would never destroy the earth again with water. And to prove it, God set the rainbow in the sky as a reminder of His promise. Then God set the seasons and began the new climate. No longer was the whole earth a lush, tropical paradise, there was springtime, summer, autumn, and winter. Many of the dinosaurs that went into the ark could no longer thrive. Many of them went extinct. Those who did survive were much smaller varieties. Because of Noah’s faithfulness, God had preserved human kind and animal kind. God had started over with a new world.
