Genesis 9:18,19 And
the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth:
and Ham is the father of Canaan. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them
was the whole earth overspread. Everyone in the world today are the
descendants of Noah’s three sons. In Genesis 9:1, God commands them to be
fruitful and multiply and refill the earth with people. And they did just that.
They fanned out and traveled by foot and by small boat to the farthest reaches
of the world. They had to begin civilization all over again. They had plenty
for time before the flood to prepare and take everything into the ark that they
might need, but when they came out, everything had been destroyed. It was like
a blank sheet of paper. Nothing was there; they had to remake absolutely everything.
But God had prepared them for the task. And they were ready. Will you be
prepared for the job that God has for you to do? Don’t forget: the good Lord
will be with you all of the time.
