Genesis 6:22

Genesis 6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he. Our verse is a great testimony to Noah and his trust in God. God warned Noah that a world-wide flood was coming and he must get ready for it. Noah believed God and trusted what God said, and did what God told him to do. And all of these things were happening at the same time. Noah obeyed God because he knew that God loved him and would only do what was best for him. If a perfect stranger were to ask you to do something, you would be cautious and not do what they asked you to do. They might want to harm you. But if you know someone and know that they love you, you are glad to do what they ask you to do. And that is why Noah obeyed God. Noah knew God because he talked with God in prayer. And Noah knew that God loved him. So Noah was not afraid to put his trust in God. So when God asked him to build an ark and to preach each day, Noah obeyed because he knew God and trusted God. Is God your Friend? Do you talk to Him each day? Can you trust God? Do you obey God like Noah obeyed God? I am sure that when the flood waters began to rise, Noah was glad that he had obeyed God and built the ark. And because Noah obeyed God, he and his family were safe. If we obey God, we will be glad that we did. And God will keep us safe in His strong arms. Even when we are afraid and there are problems all around us, God is there and will keep us in His care.
