Genesis 5:18-24 And
Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: And Jared lived
after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all
the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died. And Enoch
lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God
after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch
walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Jared was sixty-two
years old when Enoch was born. And Enoch was sixty-five years old when Methuselah
was born. But Enoch loved God so much that God took him straight up to heaven!
Enoch was one of only two people who went directly to heaven without death. Do
you know who the other one was? God took Elijah up into heaven in a fiery
chariot. But Enoch walked so close to God that God just took him on up to heaven.
How wonderful to walk that close to God. Do you love God? Do you talk to Him in
prayer every day?
