Ephesians 6:9

Ephesians 6:9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him. Bosses have a responsibility too. In Matthew 18 Jesus told of a servant who owed his boss a lot of money. He begged and pled with his boss to forgive him of the debt. The boss had mercy and forgave his servant of the debt. But later that day, this servant caught up with a buddie of his who owed him some money. This friend asked the same favor of the one who was forgiven. But he would not hear of it. The man who has been forgiven a huge debt insisted on collecting the small debt from his friend. But Jesus went on to say that when the master heard of this servant’s rudeness, he was furious. He took back his forgiveness because his servant was so unforgiving to his friend. And that is the way it is with bosses and employees today. Bosses should be understanding with their employees because Almighty God is understanding with them. Always remember: God is the ultimate boss. And he is watching over us. And our verse reminds us that we should be forgiving toward our employees because God has been forgiving to us.
