Isaiah 55:6,7

Isaiah 55:6,7 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. There are two things that we can learn about God in our verses for today: We learn that God will forgive and will have mercy. Mercy is not giving us the punishment that we rightfully deserve. And the second thing that we learn about God is that there is a limit to God’s time of mercy. We must call upon God while He may be found. When we pass on into the next life, it will be too late to seek the Lord. There is no second chance. There is no purgatory to pay off our sins to give us a second chance. When we pass away, that’s it. We are into eternity and it will be heaven or hell. But the main thing we must remember is that now, God may be found. Today is our chance to be a part of God’s forever family. Trust God now. Don’t put it off.
