Isaiah 59:1,2

Isaiah 59:1,2 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Sometimes when we pray, it doesn’t seem that God hears us, but He does. Sometimes the problem is on our side. If we have sin in our lives, God will not give us our requests because we have trashed our relationship with Him. If we are disobedient to our parents and have a smart mouth, can we ask them to do something for us? No. And God is the same way. We cannot disobey God and then come to Him with a need. We must clean up the sin in our lives first, and then come to God with our need. The problem isn’t with God; the problem is with us! Our sins have separated us from God! So what is the solution? If we clean out the sin in our lives, we can get back to a normal relationship with our heavenly Father. Then He will hear and then He will answer!
