I Timothy 1:15

I Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. The Apostle Paul made a pretty bold statement here. How could he know that he was the greatest sinner of all sinners? Had he met some of the other really bad sinners to compare himself to? How did he know that he was the worst? Paul knew his own heart. Paul knew that he was a religious hypocrite who was proud of his work for other religious hypocrites. Paul knew that religion without Jesus Christ was worse than no religion at all. As a hypocrite, Paul knew that he was worse than the most wicked person on earth. Murders and robbers and liars are all not as bad as a religious man who thinks his religion will get him to heaven. And that was Paul. So . . . if God saved the absolute worst of sinners, can he save you? Absolutely yes!
