I Timothy 2:12

I Timothy 2:12 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. Often we are mad at our government leaders. We elect them to do a job and they just let us down. They make promises and then go to Nashville or Washington and forget where they came from. It makes me want to scream! But what does our verse say about our government officials? We should pray for them! Could it just be that the reason that they fail is that we fail to pray for them? If they blow it, have we been holding them up in prayer? It could be that we have good leaders who just don’t have enough prayer backing them! Satan is out to defeat them. Let’s not fail them in praying for them! Let’s remember to pray for our senator and representative. Let’s pray for our governor and for our President. Let’s pray for God’s protection around them, and let’s pray for wisdom and boldness to stand up for what’s right! Pray for our government!
