Hebrews 11:6

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Our verse for today is very, very clear. The only way to please God is to have faith in Him. Nothing that we do will please God. That is because God can do everything and anything that we do is simply us trying to do God’s job. It is actually offensive to God to try to do what He has already done for us. God has provided for our salvation through the sacrifice of His dear Son, Jesus. If we try to do anything for ourselves, we are telling God that His plan was not the best and that the sacrifice of Jesus was not good enough. We have a better plan than God does. Wow! That’s pretty rude, isn’t it?! You may say, “I’m not trying to be rude to God!” But if we try to do things our own way, our verse says we can’t do it. It is just impossible. So, what is the only way to please God? That’s right; have faith in God. It’s like this: God honors faith because faith honors God.
