Leviticus 11:45-47

Leviticus 11:45-47 For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth: To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten. God was serious about how the Children of Israel were to live. They were examples to the people in the land where they had come. God didn’t want them to be like those heathen people; God expected them to be different. God gave them certain things to eat and certain other things not to eat. God made these rules so that the people would not get diseases associated with unclean animals. God knew what was healthy to eat and what was not healthy to eat. And God passed these rules down thru Moses to the Children of Israel.
