I Thessalonians 4:15-17

I Thessalonians 4:15-17 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. When Jesus comes back to snatch us up at what is called the rapture, There are four groups of people. The two groups of Christians are talked about in our verses for today. Those who are not Christians, dead or alive, are not mentioned in our verses. And we will talk about those later in the book of Revelation chapter 20. But back to the other two groups. Those Christians who are alive will immediately be changed into their heavenly bodies – their glorified bodies. Those Christians who are dead and buried will be reunited with their spirits, who have been with Jesus in heaven since death. These spirits will be reunited with their bodies, which will also be changed into their heavenly bodies – their glorified bodies. Then both groups of changed Christians will go up in the air to meet Jesus, Who is up in the clouds calling us up to meet Him in the air. Wow! What an exciting time! But only if you are a Christian. If you aren’t, you will be left behind. What a sad time for the unsaved. And our responsibility as Christians is to tell the unsaved about the good news of salvation so that they can go up with us at the Rapture. Let’s do it! Let’s tell others about Jesus and His great salvation!
