II Thessalonians 2:7-9

II Thessalonians 2:7-9 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. This is the second set of verses that deal with the end times that are to come. These verses seem to be jumbled up, but if you read them over a few times, they make perfect sense. First, Satan is already here on earth working iniquity. He is doing evil. But secondly, the Holy Spirit is holding Satan back. The Holy Spirit is like a man with a strong leash holding back a mean, snarling dog. But thirdly, when we Christians are snatched up in the Rapture and the Holy Spirit is taken with us, Who will be holding Satan back? No one! All of the Christians and the Holy Spirit will be gone! It is as if the leash on that mean, snarling dog just snapped! The mean dog is released! And look out! Not good for the people who are left here on earth! So lastly, when the Anti-Christ spews out all of his wickedness upon everyone here on earth, where will we Christians be? We will be up in heaven, safely enjoying everything that God has prepared for us! Praise the Lord!
