I Thessalonians 4:7

I Thessalonians 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. Jesus Christ was able to take our sins away because He was perfect and had no sins Himself. He was holy. And since He paid for our sins, we are followers of Him – we are called Christians. So if we are followers of Jesus we should be like Him.  We should be holy. Holy means to be pure. The first half of our verse says that God has not called us unto uncleanness. That’s because uncleanness is the opposite of pure. So we should be like our Savior; we should be holy.
