II Thessalonians 3:10

II Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. That sounds pretty simple and straightforward, doesn’t it? God expects us to work for our food. God told Adam to work and to grow his food “by the sweat of his brow”. When people get free money from the government, they feel guilty because they have not earned it. After a while they feel entitled to it. But deep down inside they resent getting something for nothing. They don’t feel like a real man, so they act out and pretend to be a real man by stealing and intimidation. But they are only pretend men, because God said that real men work. And real women work too. They take care of their homes and little babies. Some women work outside of the home too. But their real work is inside of the home. Women should be “keepers of the home” first, and then work outside if they need to or if they can. So, where does our government get the money to pay people who don’t work? The government raises taxes and takes money from those who do work. But all of this is not God’s plan. He says to work, to take care of the children, and to obey God. Sounds like a good plan to me. How about you?
